About Seedance 2.5

Seedance 2.5 is the newest Seedance from ByteDance. It works from a text prompt, or from a start image with an optional end image.

Clips are 4, 5, 8 or 10 seconds long in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, at 480p, 720p or 1080p. Sound comes with the picture and is part of the price.

It costs much more per second than Seedance 1.5 Pro, so it fits the final version of a shot better than drafts. 480p is the cheap way to check an idea first.

Prices are in credits and come from the same quote the studio and the API charge. The exact price is on the Generate button before you spend anything, and a failed generation is refunded automatically. The dollar figure next to each price is at the standard rate of $0.02 a credit.

A 4-second clip at 480p in dollars

The cheapest Seedance 2.5 run is 170 credits. What that comes to depends on how you buy credits; the Studio plan sells them cheapest.

The smallest plan is the $10 Basic plan (500 credits a month).

Seedance 2.5 API

Run Seedance 2.5 from your own code with one POST to /api/v1/videos and model id seedance-2-5. This request costs 170 credits ($3.40). Create a key on your account page and replace the placeholder.

Price any other settings first with POST /quote, which is free. Videos take a few minutes, so the script waits on the job until it is done. Every field is described in the videos docs.

Seedance 2.5 from an AI agent (MCP)

Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients run the same request as the generate_video tool. Add the server once:
