About Wan 3.0

Wan 3.0 is Alibaba's video model. In Kinoseed it works from a text prompt alone, or from a start image with an optional end image, so you can fix the first and the last shot and let it move between them.

Clips are 5 or 10 seconds long in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, at 480p, 720p or 1080p. Sound is generated with the picture and is part of the price.

A second costs about a quarter of Seedance 2.5, sound included, so it is a good model for trying an idea several times before spending more on the same shot.

Wan 3.0 API

Run Wan 3.0 from your own code with one POST to /api/v1/videos and model id wan-3. This request costs 50 credits ($1.00). Create a key on your account page and replace the placeholder.

curl -X POST https://kinoseed.app/api/v1/videos \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ks_live_YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "prompt": "a lighthouse at dusk, waves breaking, slow aerial orbit",
    "model": "wan-3",
    "duration": 5,
    "aspect": "16:9",
    "resolution": "480p"
  }'

Price any other settings first with POST /quote, which is free. Videos take a few minutes, so the script waits on the job until it is done. Every field is described in the videos docs.

Wan 3.0 from an AI agent (MCP)

Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients run the same request as the generate_video tool. Add the server once:

claude mcp add --transport http kinoseed https://kinoseed.app/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ks_live_YOUR_KEY"

Then the agent sends this call, or you ask for the result in plain words and it builds the call itself:

{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "generate_video",
    "arguments": {
      "prompt": "a lighthouse at dusk, waves breaking, slow aerial orbit",
      "model": "wan-3",
      "duration": 5,
      "aspect": "16:9",
      "resolution": "480p"
    }
  }
}

Setup for every client is on the MCP server page.

Frequently asked questions

What does Wan 3.0 cost?

Generating starts with a plan. A 5-second clip at 480p with Wan 3.0 costs 50 credits, which the $10 Basic plan (500 credits a month) covers: 10 runs. Results never carry a watermark.

How long can Wan 3.0 videos be?

Wan 3.0 clips are 5 or 10 seconds long. Pick the length in the studio before you generate. Longer clips cost more, and the exact price is on the Generate button before you spend anything.

Can Wan 3.0 turn an image into a video?

Yes. Wan 3.0 works from a text prompt alone or from a start image you upload. You can also add an end frame so the clip finishes on a specific image.

What resolution does Wan 3.0 render at?

You can choose 480p, 720p or 1080p. Higher resolutions cost more.

Is there a Wan 3.0 API?

Yes. Send POST /api/v1/videos with "model": "wan-3" and an API key from your account page. The request on this page costs 50 credits (about $1.00), and POST /api/v1/quote prices any other settings before you spend anything. The same run is the generate_video tool on the Kinoseed MCP server.
