About MiniMax H3

MiniMax H3 is the video model that follows Hailuo 2.3 from MiniMax. Unlike Hailuo 2.3 it also works from text alone, and it can take a start image and an end image.

Clips are 5 or 10 seconds long in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 when you start from text. When you start from an image, the clip takes its framing from that image. It renders at 480p, 768p or 2K.

768p costs little more than 480p, which makes it the setting to start from for social clips, with 2K for the take you keep.

MiniMax H3 price per run

Prices are in credits and come from the same quote the studio and the API charge. The exact price is on the Generate button before you spend anything, and a failed generation is refunded automatically. The dollar figure next to each price is at the standard rate of $0.02 a credit.

A 5-second clip at 480P in dollars

The cheapest MiniMax H3 run is 50 credits. What that comes to depends on how you buy credits; the Studio plan sells them cheapest.

The smallest plan is the $10 Basic plan (500 credits a month).

MiniMax H3 API

Run MiniMax H3 from your own code with one POST to /api/v1/videos and model id minimax-h3. This request costs 50 credits ($1.00). Create a key on your account page and replace the placeholder.

Price any other settings first with POST /quote, which is free. Videos take a few minutes, so the script waits on the job until it is done. Every field is described in the videos docs.

MiniMax H3 from an AI agent (MCP)

Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients run the same request as the generate_video tool. Add the server once:
