Make a photo wider without cropping

Add a tight photo. The scene continues past the old edges, so a vertical shot can fit a banner, a slide or a wide post.

You need: The photo, and the shape you need, such as 16:9. No prompt. A typical run is 8 credits, shown on the button before it starts.

Every run shows its price first, and a run that fails is refunded.

A real result from this tool, made with Bria Expand. The prompt: the wooden pier continuing out to sea on both sides, moored fishing boats, overcast sky, matching soft sea haze

What makes it come out well

  • Start from a photo with room at the edges. Sky, water and walls extend cleanly, while a person cut off by the frame forces the model to guess the rest.
  • Grow in steps if you need a lot of room. Two small expansions hold together better than one big one.
  • Check the seam where the old edge was, mostly in repeating things like railings or tiles.

Questions

Does it change the original part?

It keeps your photo and adds around it. Look at the seam at full size before you publish.

Can I go from vertical to wide?

Yes, that is the most common use, for instance a phone photo for a website banner.
