A clip from one text prompt in the Video studio, where Kling 4.0 runs from the same Prompt box.

To use Kling 4.0, open the Video studio, click the Model card and choose Kling 4.0, write the shot in the Prompt or drop a picture into Start frame, pick the shape, a Resolution of 720p or 1080p and a Duration of 5, 10 or 15 seconds, and press Generate Video. A 5 second clip costs 150 credits at 720p and 220 at 1080p; 15 seconds costs 430 and 650.

Kling 4.0 is the newest Kling from Kuaishou. Next to Kling 3.0 it adds 1080p and clips up to 15 seconds, and it makes sound with the picture in every clip, with no switch and no extra charge. This guide covers its inputs, settings, prompts and prices, and when Kling 4.0 Flash is enough.

What you need

  • An idea for one shot, or a clear picture to start from.
  • If the start frame shows a real person, use your own photo or one that person agreed to have animated.
  • A Kinoseed account with credits. Video starts with a plan; the $10 Basic plan (500 credits a month) covers 3 5 second Kling 4.0 clips at 720p.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open the Video studio and choose Kling 4.0

The Model card shows Seedance 1.5 Pro, the default. Click it and pick Kling 4.0. The Kling 4.0 model page opens the studio with it already selected.

  2. 2

Start from text, or add a start and an end frame

Kling 4.0 works from the Prompt alone. To fix the first shot, drop a picture into Start frame under Start & end frames; add an End frame too and the clip moves from one to the other. A start frame costs the same as text: 150 credits for 5 seconds at 720p.

  3. 3

Pick the shape, Resolution and Duration

Choose 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 with the shape buttons (9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok), 720p or 1080p under Resolution and 5, 10 or 15 seconds under Duration. 1080p costs more than 720p, and the price on the button moves with each choice. With a start frame, the clip takes its shape from your picture, so crop it first.

  4. 4

Write the Prompt as one shot, then press Generate Video

Name the subject, the one thing that happens, the camera move and the light; add the sounds you want in a few words. The price is on the button before you press it. The clip lands in the feed beside the controls, ready to download, with no watermark, and a failed run is refunded automatically.

What Kling 4.0 costs

150 credits for 5 seconds and 430 for 15 seconds at 720p; 220 and 650 at 1080p. Sound is in every price, and a start or end frame does not change it. Each figure is what the Generate Video button shows for that setting.

Kling 4.0 Flash runs the same family at 720p for less: 90 credits for 5 seconds and 260 for 15. A 5 second Kling 3.0 clip without sound is 110, and the studio default Seedance 1.5 Pro is 25 credits for 5 seconds at 720p. See pricing for the plans.

When to use Kling 4.0, and when not to

Use it for the take you will post, for 1080p, and for one continuous shot longer than 10 seconds. Draft the prompt on Kling 4.0 Flash first and move the one that works to Kling 4.0. To see the two Klings side by side, read Kling 4.0 vs Kling 3.0; for the Google model, Kling 4.0 vs Veo 3.1.

Tips for better results

  • Draft on Kling 4.0 Flash, then run the keeper on Kling 4.0 at 1080p.
  • One action and one camera move per clip, even in a long take. Several moves in one prompt tend to blur together.
  • Add an End frame when the clip has to finish on a set shot, such as a product facing the camera.
  • Name the sounds you want in a few words; otherwise the model picks something that fits the picture.
  • For camera words models follow, see how to write AI video prompts with camera moves.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I use Kling 4.0 online?

In the Kinoseed Video studio: choose Kling 4.0 on the Model card. It runs in the browser from a text prompt or a start image.

How much does Kling 4.0 cost?

Video starts with a plan. A clip costs 150 credits for 5 seconds at 720p or 220 at 1080p, up to 650 for 15 seconds at 1080p. The exact price is on the Generate Video button.

How long can a Kling 4.0 clip be?
