About Z-Image
Z-Image is a compact open image model from Alibaba's Tongyi lab. Kinoseed runs Z-Image Turbo, a version that needs only a few steps per image, so results come back quickly.
It is text-to-image only and has the lowest price per image in the Kinoseed studio, which makes it a good fit for lifelike portraits, quick tests of a prompt and large batches.

Frequently asked questions
Is Z-Image free?
You can try it free. New accounts get 50 free credits, and one image with Z-Image costs 2 credits, so the free credits cover 25 images. Results never carry a watermark, free credits included.
What aspect ratios does Z-Image support?
In the Kinoseed image studio you can pick 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, 3:2, 16:9 or 9:16. Z-Image takes a fixed set of sizes, so 4:5 and 3:2 come out at the nearest 4:3 shape.
Can Z-Image edit an existing image?
No. Z-Image is text-to-image only. For edits, choose a model that takes a reference image, such as Nano Banana 2.
How many Z-Image images can I make at once?
Up to 8 per run: choose 1, 2, 4 or 8. One image costs 2 credits and 8 cost 8.
